Meet Our Team

Amanda is a Colorado Native who received her Bachelors of Nursing from University of Wyoming and her Masters of Nursing from Colorado State University-Pueblo. She is a Nurse Practitioner dually certified in Family Practice and Adult-Gerontological Acute Care. Amanda brings 19 years of experience in medicine. After years of working in acute care hospital medicine, Amanda has seen the effects of chronic illness on patients and families. She has also seen the change in medicine that has taken away an individualized approach to health care and placed people in boxes of treatment protocols. She saw first hand how patients were given medications as the answer to their symptoms. Amanda has always been a person who wants to know the “why” which led her to Functional Medicine.

She is passionate about the preventive and holistic approach to medicine. She believes in partnering with her patients and empowering them to take charge of their health. She enjoys educating patients about medical conditions and ways they can optimize their health.

Amanda found functional medicine through her health journey and after feeling the pressures of conventional medicine as she saw patients and families that were failed by the medical system.

As a patient herself, she found answers to her ongoing stomach issues and fatigue. She was having signs of chronic stress and inflammation in her body that she wasn’t aware of and neglected for so long.

After her transformation, Amanda is passionate about helping others become in tune with what their body is telling them and giving them the tools to heal. She believes patients have choices to make regarding their health and feels the best way to support these choices is to ensure they are educated on their risks and benefits.

Amanda has received Functional Medicine training through The Institute of Functional Medicine and is certified through the Functional Medicine Academy. She is currently enrolled in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy Training Academy.

Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and 2 sons outside of work.

Debi received her Functional Nutrition Counseling Certification from the Functional Nutrition Alliance in September 2024. She earned her Master of Science in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder in August 2011 and became certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in January 2012.

After completing her internship at the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in Harbin, China, she began practicing acupuncture in Fort Collins and Loveland, Colorado, in 2012.

Debi is a grandmother of two and mother of three originally from Maryland. She moved to Colorado in 2007 to pursue a better quality of life for her family.

Before relocating, she suffered from chronic physical and emotional pain for decades due to extreme hormone imbalances.

When Western medicine failed to help, she discovered acupuncture and herbal medicine. This combination was the only treatment that helped her heal and manage pain when Western medicine seemed to make things worse. Acupuncture ultimately gave her life back.

Years later, during an extremely stressful period when she was “burning the candle at both ends,” her body began to signal the need for rest. She experienced severe digestive issues and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. Once again, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) played a pivotal role in her recovery and continues to support her health alongside Western medicine and other natural modalities.

As she navigated menopause, her health journey evolved further. She struggled with symptoms such as hot flashes, bone loss, muscle loss, brain fog, weight gain, and thyroid irregularities. This led her to explore Functional Medicine, which emphasizes the use of food, supplements, and vitamins to balance the body and support healing.

Through Functional Medicine, she discovered that her blood sugar was out of balance, affecting her hormones and other bodily functions. Recognizing the interconnectedness of the body, she was inspired to deepen her knowledge. This led her to pursue certification in Functional Nutrition, enabling her to offer more comprehensive solutions to her patients.
